I am the eldest of 3 children. I was born in Sioux Falls and moved to Boise, Idaho at the age of 4. On any given day during football season you may find me dressed up for a Boise State Bronco football game. I graduated from Rapid City Stevens and went on to receive my Bachelor of Science degree in biology from South Dakota State University (Go Jacks!). I decided to become a chiropractor after experiencing paralyzing back spasms while in Brookings; I had grown up seeing the chiropractor, but had never thought of it as a future career. I took pain medication for a week, which mostly just made me tired. Then I went to the chiropractor twice and felt great. I attended Northwestern Health Sciences University in MN to obtain my Doctorate of Chiropractic. I have adjusted one day old babies, including my own son, to people well into their 90s.
While at SDSU I met my husband Shawn, of Union Center and a Sturgis High School graduate. He currently works for the forest service. We just had our first baby on St. Patrick’s Day 2010, Emerson; we just got a puppy named Kashe. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially with my niece and nephew. I also enjoy reading, playing in the water, and cheering for Boise State – of course!
I have tried to make my office a warm and inviting place. I look forward to helping you and your family with achieving your health goals naturally.
I am a member of South Dakota Chiropractic Association, Black Hills Chiropractic Society, and Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce.
